Well, after months and months of attempting to get my book finished... it FINALLY happened! I believe I started this six months ago and put it off for about 2 months and then really started busting my ass on it (with some help of a few cheerleaders!)
After reading it, re-reading it and reading it once more I have learned a few things.
1. Don't write tired.
2. Don't write while drinking
The most important one of all
3. Don't write drunk AND tired!
You realize there are several moments (if you do any of the above) where you see things making sense then slowly start to repeat yourself or use the wrong words- obviously spell check will think it is right... LOL!
Anyway, as I mentioned; I finally finished up my baby. Now granted I have 2 kids (5 & 3) and I felt like (yes I am saying this in the most sarcastic tone EVER) the mom of the year putting on more cartoons then I would like to admit, so I could finish an "idea".
But now that I have it done and finding Beta Readers (*cough* if you wanna be one *cough*) and I think that my nerves went from shot due to writing all the damn time to non-existent because now I am going to have complete strangers telling me how good (wont say great yet) to absolutely horrid it is.
Either way, I am just happy to have actually completed my very first book! Yaay!
